Mini epiphany:

I actually prefer being mistaken for a dude over being mistaken for a model. At least with the former, I’m in a position to challenge people’s idea of binary gender appearances. I understand that the latter is a compliment - thank you, that’s fine - but I cannot emphasize how uncomfortable it makes me to think that I’m being praised for apparently fitting and perpetuating some invented standard of female beauty through my stick-like build or whatever.
